We completed this architecturally designed new build as a holiday home for one of our clients. This stunning bach is located in the beautiful beach town of Opito Bay, Coromandel. Undeniably a holiday home worth dreaming about.

We cladded the entire exterior of the home with vertical cedar. We finished the front face of the home with an additional vertical cedar privacy screen. This provided total privacy from the road. The clean lines of the design were executed to an immaculate standard. Our team paid extensive attention to detail to ensure this level of finish was achieved.

We have employed the team at Network Builders for various projects over the past decade including various house renovations and commercial projects within Auckland. So when it came to building our dream holiday house in the Coromandel it was a no-brainer when it came to the decision of who to entrust our quality build to.
Overall, the project took just under two years and Matson and his team were extremely professional and made the whole process seamless. The project was well managed from the initial proposal right through to the regular communication, efficiency of the timeline and logistics of building 3 hours away from Auckland. The team hired a house nearby and worked extremely hard to ensure our family were in before Christmas. Right on time to enjoy the Opito Bay summer.
Additionally, the online scheduling meant we could see in real time where each stage was at. This included when decisions had to be made for each and every detail of the project. As well as this, the workmanship and attention to detail across all areas of the process was immaculate. Ultimately we couldn’t be happier with the final result.

We built floating concrete stairs to the entrance of the home. Each element of the exterior finishes – from the concrete and cedar, to the black aluminium joinery – all worked together to give this bach a modern, architectural feel from the moment you see it.
The interior finishes mirrored the clean lines and modern design of the exterior. With floor to ceiling windows and doors used throughout the home, there is certainly no shortness of light.
