Network Builders was tasked with transforming this bungalow in Point Chevalier, Auckland from a simple single level dwelling to a three story luxury home. The renovation consisted of a complete demolition to the back half of the house and the addition of a new upper and lower level as well as an in-ground concrete pool. While the exterior of the home remained in keeping with traditional bungalow characteristics, you are greeted with high end contemporary living from the moment you step inside.
Contemporary bungalow renovation
We began the project by demolishing the back half of the original villa. Following this, we were able to extend the foundations and build this additional lower level, supported by large structural beams. The open plan design of the lower level created a space perfect for entertaining and family living. High end finishes were executed throughout and the kitchen was no exception. Fitted with seamless Italian Caesarstone bench tops, splash-back and side panels as well as brushed brass hardware.
Our team designed and custom built this concrete fireplace. We ensured all vents and fittings of the Escea model could be integrated into the concrete structure. One large 7m long stacking sliding door was installed across the entire back wall of the home. As a result, an impeccable indoor and outdoor flow was achieved while simultaneously ensuring the space was flooded with natural light.
We used the same boxing technique when building the second open fire concrete fireplace in the outdoor area.
The in-ground concrete pool was complete with a built in cover pit. Our clients opted for a black plaster finish to the pool.
