We have employed the team at Network Builders for various projects over the past decade including various house renovations and commercial projects within Auckland. So when it came to building our dream holiday house in the Coromandel it was a no-brainer when it came to the decision of who to entrust our quality build to.
Overall, the project took just under two years and Matson and his team were extremely professional and made the whole process seamless. The project was well managed from the initial proposal right through to the regular communication, efficiency of the timeline and logistics of building 3 hours away from Auckland. The team hired a house nearby and worked extremely hard to ensure our family were in before Christmas. Right on time to enjoy the Opito Bay summer.
The online scheduling meant we could see in real time where each stage was at. This included when decisions had to be made for each and every detail of the project. As well as this, the workmanship and attention to detail across all areas of the process was immaculate. We couldn’t be happier with the final result.

Network Builders were recommended to us by a work colleague who was undergoing renovations – he spoke very highly of them. We had a time limit for the project due to a baby and Network assured us that they could do the work in the time frame we needed and to the standard we expected. Our renovations were completed in the time frame required and we are extremely happy with the results. I love coming home to our house and seeing what we have done. It feels like a home now for our family.
On time, costs were as expected, no nasty surprises and a great team of tradesmen. Excellent – we have recommended them to our neighbours, family and friends. Communication was open, they did what they said they would we felt like we were part of the process the whole way through.

Matson, director of Network Builders was referred to me by one of my tradesmen as a reasonable, reliable and honest Builder on the North Shore who will always see the job to completion. I contacted Matson for a quote on the project that my previous builder left unfinished. Matson came across well as a polite, caring and understanding person when I first met him. He maintained that reputation throughout the project.
I also was pleasantly surprised when I received his quotation which was very reasonable and provided detailed breakdown as he cared to ensure there is no hidden cost. He started the job on the agreed date. During the construction period I found him and his staff very polite, understanding, open minded and easy to communicate with.
The quality of his workmanship is fantastic. His approach to solving problems was great. Whenever an issue arose he always explained why it happened without pushing the blame. He always cared to provide a flexible solution and the context how it would impact the overall design of the house and reconcile it back to my expectations of the outcome. There were only few days delay due to bad weather during the wet season. Nonetheless, he saw the job to the end and the construction went smoothly with minimal interruptions.

Network initially took on the project assisting us through the preliminary design stage. During this, we found Network willing to listen to our needs and picked up on their ability to show a flare for design that helped us incorporate more modern features into our project. They were keen to show us their recent work and we were impressed with their quality of finish on a recently completed new home. Furthermore, their references and recommendations provided us with a willingness to work with them in a partnership from the beginning to the end.
Despite working on a difficult site, Network Builders demolished the existing dwelling and carried out site works, excavations and foundations using their own labour and machinery. Network then took the project out of the ground and ultimately delivered us a quality home that exceeded our expectations.

What started as a small re-clad renovation, somehow turned into Network totally transforming our ugly duckling into our dream home! Prior to starting the project, we mentioned things we wished we could change about the house, specifically its layout. We couldn’t believe how clever some of the ideas Matson straightaway came up with on the spot as to how we could achieve what we wanted without doing any major structural changes.
In the end, the exterior re-clad was finished to an impeccable standard. Moreover, the interior renovation completely transformed our home and greatly improved the flow and functionality of the house. We engaged Network Builders to build a new house in Torbay, North Shore. The site is pretty steep with a narrow road and difficult access to the site. Because of this, a large retaining wall involving extensive earthworks had to be built. Despite various challenges, the Network Builders team has completed everything very professionally.
This was our first experience with new construction and the friendly and professional Network Builders team made it smooth and painless.
